Plating Options
Standard plating options are Gold, Silver, Nickel, Copper and Black Nickel offered at no extra charge. Alternative finishing options are Antique Gold, Antique Silver, Antique Copper or Antique Bronze.
Lapel Pin Attachments
The standard pin attachment is the military or butterfly clutch (pinch/pull). Additional upgrades include, tie tac, rubber clutch, magnetic back or safety pin.
Packaging Options
Packaging options include velvet bags, plastic jewel cases, printed cards or a more elegant velvet jewel cases. These packaging options protect your custom lapel pin and increase the perceived value.
The Production Process
A die is made with your custom design. It is then strike in to a copper or brass base metal. Colored Glass crushed to a powder and mixed with water is used to fill the recessed areas in your design. Pins are color matched using the PMS color chart, which means there are thousands of colors available for you to choose from. The pin is then baked at 1600 degrees, and then cooled. Next, the pin is ground with different stones, polished smooth and then plated in any of the various metal finishes (gold, silver, nickel, black or antiqued).
